আজ ঈদ রাতে বার বার নিজের কাছে প্রশ্ন জাগছে আমি নিজে এই গানটির চেতনা কতটুকু ধারণ করি? ছুঁড়ে আসা পাথর দিয়ে প্রেমের মসজিদ তৈরি করা কি সহজ কথা? আপনাকে বিলিয়ে দেয়া?

তবু বলি। বার বার বলি।
মনের মাঝের সব দীনতা, মলিনতা নিয়েই বলি।
আমাদের মাঝেই কেউ কেউ পারেন।
তিনি তো আমাদেরই প্রিয়জন।

Lo! At the long end of Ramadan fasting happy Eid has arrived
O you, disburse all your belongings and self; carry out the vocation divine.

All your rich and luxury are for the sake of God
Give charity much enough to awake the Muslims hibernating.

On this Eid you congregate for prayer in that very ground
That is the slaughtering place for hero Muslim martyrs.

Forget today whosoever is friend or foe, put all hands together
Let your love cause the world to embrace in Islam.

Those poverish people as if fasting all thru their lives
Donate the surplus all to those poor, orphan and vulners.

Fill your heart with the sacred fruits of belief in One
For sure, the Hazrat will accept your calling.

Those thru the life pelted stones to you
Build with the stones a masjid of love.

Lo! At the long end of Ramadan fasting happy Eid has arrived
